Fishing Creek Lake, created in 1916 for hydroelectric power and drinking water, offers a beautiful and scenic paddling experience. This paddling experience explores the southern part of the lake, near the dam, as well as the dairy branch of Fishing Creek. Prominent tree species you will come across include a variety of oak and pine as well as river birch. This is a good fishing lake with a variety of species, including bluegill, largemouth bass, gizzard shad, crappie and catfish.
